Top 10 Things to do at Disneyland Paris – Things you shouldn’t miss at Disneyland Paris

If you have booked a trip to Disneyland Paris, or your planning a trip to Disneyland Paris and are wondering what things you shouldn’t miss on your trip, then you’ve came to the right place! I’ve listed my top 10 things to do at Disneyland Paris – These, in my opinion, are definitely things that you shouldn’t miss!

1. The Disney Parade

The Disney Parade is a show that happens every day and lasts around 20 minutes. It’s not to be missed! My top tip for the Disney parade is to get there early. You want a good view of the parade and the parade draws a big crowd. Lets be honest, is there anything worse than trying to watch something with lots of people in front of you and peoples heads blocking your view? We got there early this year and got to the front. If your at the front, they sometimes even wave to you and say hello whilst passing by! A perfect way to see all of the characters at once. It’s magical and has characters such as Mickey Mouse, Toy Story, Peter Pan, Rapunzel, Nemo, princesses and many more.

2. Disney illuminations

This is hands down my favourite part the trip and I never miss it. If you’re going to Disneyland soon then don’t miss this spectacular show! It’s absolutely magical. Disney illuminations is a nighttime spectacular closing ceremony around the sleeping beauty’s castle and lasts around 20 minutes. It projects Disney animations on to the castle and features beautiful fireworks and amazing Disney songs. Disney illuminations is truly magical and is something that you definitely shouldn’t miss. Again, my top tip for Disney illuminations is to get there early! It becomes packed when the show is close to starting and the first time I went, I made the mistake of not getting there early and ended up not being able to see most of the show due to tall men standing in front of me with kids on their shoulders. Its fair to say, the next day I made sure that I got there early.

3. Disney Village

Disney village is always a good idea! Disney village is basically a shopping, dining and entertainment complex in Disneyland Paris. It starts at the park gates and is open until late. The best part is, you don’t need a park ticket to go to Disney Village! It’s completely free to get in. I usually don’t buy a park ticket on the day that I am leaving to go home because I wouldn’t get a full day at Disney, so I usually spend that day in Disney Village. I also love to spend evenings there as well. It has some great shops and restaurants and even a cinema! Its super fun and theres plenty to do. Try Annettes diner for an amazing hot dog or burger or go to Cafe Mickey for a character meal. There’s also a Starbucks and Mcdonalds, as well as many other great restaurants.

4. Hot Air Balloon Ride

Take a ride in the hot air balloon (PanoraMagique) for some amazing views over Disneyland Paris. The hot air balloon is at lake Disney and you won’t miss it, its huge! We went on this at sunset and it was beautiful and the views were incredible. It didn’t cost a lot neither! I think it cost us around 12 euros each which was definitely worth it. If you get the chance to go on the hot air balloon, I recommend it! However, sometimes if the weather is bad, it isn’t running.

5. Don’t forget to use your fast pass!

The first time I went to Disney land, I never used my fast pass! A lot of people still don’t know that fast passes exist or how they work. If you didn’t already know, fast pass is basically a pass that reduces your waiting time. Sometimes waits can be as long as 2 hours when its busy so the fast pass can really come in handy. To use it, all you need to do is scan your Disney admission ticket for each rider in to the machine at the entrance of the ride and then you will receive your fast pass ticket with your return time. Go and have fun and then when its time, head back to the ride and get on it within a matter of minutes! It’s easy and its free! You don’t have to pay extra for a fast pass.

6. Sleeping Beauty’s Castle

In my opinion, Disneyland Paris has the most elegant castle. It’s just beautiful. Go and take a look inside the famous castle. Head upstairs to see the story of sleeping beauty in tapestries and on stained glass windows. There’s also a balcony where you can overlook some of Disney! Also don’t forget to visit the the Dragon underneath the castle. She awakes every few minutes.

7. Ride big thunder mountain

Probably one of the most popular rides in the park. It’s a runaway mine train that rattles you wildly around a haunted mountain. You can use fast pass for this.

8. Shows & entertainment

Throughout the year Disneyland has many different entertainment shows which are really good. They have many that suit everyone. I went to Stitch live! Last year and I loved it, its so funny and I love stitch. Make sure to check what shows and events are on when you are visiting. You can check show schedules and times on the Disneyland Paris app.

9. Walt Disney Studios Park

Disneyland Paris has two parks, magic kingdom and Disney studios park. You can buy a one park ticket, or a two park ticket that allows you in to both. If you haven’t already been to Walt Disney Studios Park then it might be worth a visit. I definitely spend a lot less time in this park but its just as equally fun! You can probably get around this park quicker than magic kingdom though. It has toy story themed rides, Cars themed rides and some great shows.

10. Crush’s coaster

Another really popular ride! Crush’s coaster is a Finding Nemo themed spinning rollercoaster. This popular attraction will take you through the great barrier reef, where you’ll cruise past scenes from the film and meet Nemo and more. You can use fast pass for this, and because its very popular, I highly recommend using fast pass for this ride.

And those are my top 10 things to do in Disneyland Paris that shouldn’t be missed! I hope that they have been helpful. Do you have any tips for Disneyland? Comment yours in the comments if you do!
